Quality Assurance Engineer

MediaRadar is a cloud-based ad sales information service. We help websites, magazines, television networks, and newspapers dramatically improve ad sales and client management. MediaRadar provides its clients with detailed brand analysis and prospecting reports on over 2.6 million brands, culling advertising and editorial insights from more than 16,000 media properties. We help to give our more than 1600 clients a competitive edge by empowering their Sales Teams to enhance and streamline their sales processes using our unique SaaS platform service.

We are looking for a highly motivated quality assurance engineer to execute testing for our applications in order to ensure product quality. QA Engineer responsibilities include estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities. You will also ensure that identified defects are documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system. Our QA Engineers ensure our products are best of breed and keep our clients ahead of their competition!

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and execute existing test plans and queries
• Write and execute SQL queries to find data in our Database
• Close interaction and collaboration with Developers during testing while clearly communicating estimates and priorities
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing support by communicating frequently with Operations
• Daily quality control by Monitoring our automation scripts
• Assist stakeholders with estimates and prioritization based on project scope
• Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications along with historical analysis of test results
• Identify, record, and document defects discovered
• Participate in project planning meetings
• Maintain documentation for Quality Assurance environments, processes and procedures
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated script

Who you are:

• You have at least 2 years of web application testing experience
• You have experience starting, completing and supporting the STLC / SDLC process
• You have experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• You have experience with source control and bug tracking systems
• You have a working knowledge of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
• You have manual testing experience
• You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• You have a strong understanding of QA methodologies and technologies
• You are able to troubleshoot tickets from internal customers
• You are a constant learner with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional settings

Nice to Haves (but not required!):

• Experience in automation
• Knowledge of C# / Javascript
