IT Helpdesk Technician

We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician to play a crucial role in maintaining our IT infrastructure and providing high-quality technical support. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a lively setting and is passionate about technology and customer service. This role will work 4 days on-site and 1 day remote.

What You’ll Do:

Technical Support and Imaging

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Image desktops and laptops for end-users, ensuring optimal setup.
  • Provide on-site, phone, or remote assistance.

Maintenance, Installation, and Networking

  • Regularly maintain IT systems, including hardware and software updates.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices like access points, switches, and firewalls.
  • Set up workstations with necessary devices.

Software Installation and User Support

  • Install and guide users in software application usage.
  • Train staff on IT resources.
  • Create and maintain IT documentation.

Inventory and Procurement Management

  • Keep track of all IT inventory, ensuring equipment and supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Manage procurement processes for IT equipment and software, liaising with vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of assets and inventory levels.

Proactive Communication

  • Clearly communicate with staff and IT team members.
  • Document technical issues and solutions thoroughly.
  • Escalate complex issues as needed.
Requirements

What You’ve Done:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge in computer imaging.
  • Familiarity with operating systems and network management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts simply.
