In November of 2023, MediaRadar acquired Vivvix, a company offering competitive advertising intelligence across both digital and traditional media channels, such as mobile apps, streaming services, and social media.  MediaRadar and Vivvix are both AI-powered platforms, with AI used to track and collect advertising insights across media channels, as well as to power sales recommendations and prospecting tools. Following the Transaction, MediaRadar’s expanded resources and capital will allow it to further invest in cutting-edge data and tech capabilities, building next-gen solutions that drive maximum value for its customers and cementing its position as the industry’s analytics leader.

The Role
The VP Corporate Controller will lead MediaRadar's accounting function, supporting the company's continued growth and value creation. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this key leadership position oversees all aspects of corporate accounting and financial operations. The VP Corporate Controller will drive operational strategies, maintain financial controls, ensure compliance with GAAP, and partner closely with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives.

As a hands-on leader, the VP Corporate Controller will play a pivotal role in aligning MediaRadar’s business, financial, and human capital strategies with its future goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations Leadership
    • Oversee financial accounting, analysis, treasury, audit, and tax functions while ensuring compliance with GAAP.
    • Manage accounting operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, billing, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare and publish accurate, timely monthly financial statements.
    • Analyze and report key financial and operational results, identifying underlying trends and drivers.
    • Review financial statements, compare results to projections and budgets, and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Process Improvement & Controls
    • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure policy compliance.
    • Experience of learning and evaluating existing processes, making recommendations for improved efficiency, and implementing process improvements across a variety of functional areas. 
      • Specifically, implementation of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other general accounting / accrual processes
      • Implementation of new accounting policies, technical memorandums and procedures
      • Working cross functionally to develop KPIs and other leading indicators
    • Lead ERP system implementation and enhancements.
  • Strategic Initiatives
    • Collaborate with the CFO, senior leadership, and private equity partners to support growth and strategic goals.
    • Lead the financial integration of acquisitions, including post-closing performance measurement and carve-out financials.
    • Work cross-functionally to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and other leading metrics.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education & Certification
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional Experience
    • 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in senior financial leadership roles.
    • Proven success in high-growth, private equity-backed SaaS businesses.
    • Experience managing audits, implementing accounting policies, and improving operational processes.
    • Experience in M&A, including integration and post-closing performance measurement.  Prior experience with financial carve-outs is a plus.
    • ERP system implementation experience is required.
    • Experience working with outsourced and off-shore operations a plus
