Most of the time data is only as good as the dashboard on which you can look at it, unless you have all day to manually go over results because the front end software doesn’t do that effectively enough. MediaRadar is completely intuitive to use and offers a lot of great options to look at the results, either generally or specifically. It’s a pleasure to use, which is rare.
In short, I will say there is NO comparison with the service and we were a long time IMS client. MR is exponentially better and is a true selling/prospecting tool and not just a competitive data provider. Our sales team loves all the new features to help them drive revenue and their support for my teams is phenomenal (MR will call to proactive provide additional training to make sure our sales teams are getting the full benefit).
Comparing the two services are like comparing riding a bike to driving a Mercedes. If you can switch, it’s a not really a choice.

I can find out where a particular advertiser has run much faster than running a report from your competitor. I love the way it customizes just the books I’d like to see and the ability to change the time frame in seconds.
I use MediaRadar every day. I think it’s most beneficial for non-endemics and cuts my prospecting time down to almost nothing. I also use it to prospect from competitive titles- I can see who’s spending where and on what in a few minutes. The snapshot it gives me provides enough data to know how to pitch someone (i.e., hey, I just saw you have a full page in Shape, you know you could do a year of full pages with us for the same spend). What I can see on MR helps me form my sales strategy.
