MediaRadar’s 12 Ads of Christmas: 2 All of the Above’s

We now move onto the penultimate post in our 12 Ads of Christmas blog series.

It’s been quite the ride thus far, filled with ads about cars, credit cards, mattresses, dating sites, sneakers, razors, toys, diamond rings, eyewear, and liquor

Let’s take an exact look at how MediaRadar’s cover of the “12 Days of Christmas” is playing out:

“On the twelfth day of Christmas, MediaRadar sent to me,
Twelve Engines Humming,
Eleven Cards a-Swiping,
Ten Sleepers Sleeping,
Nine Sites Romancing,
Eight Shoes a-Sneaking,
Seven Hairs a-Trimming,
Six Kids a-Playing,
Five Diamond Rings,
Four Visions Blurred,
Three Drunk Friends…”

It’s surely a lot to take in, but in the spirit of the season, the more the merrier.

The classic rendition would next sing of “Two Turtle Doves.” Not today, however. We’re going above and beyond.

Today, we’re sending you Two All-of-the-Above’s  – the places that give consumers everything they need and more.

With the holiday season, comes a hectic shopping experience. Thankfully, many companies are bringing joy to the world of consumers, allowing them to rejoice in the season of pain-free shopping, and spend more time with their family and friends.

The holidays are about great experiences, and now, the same could be said for shopping.

So, with that, we bring you two companies that have it all. In fact, they even have some great ads.

Here are MediaRadar’s two favorite “all-of-the-above” ads from this year:

Amazon – “Give”

This Amazon ad suggests that the holiday season is all about giving. Who can argue with that?

In the ad, we see the journey of an order placed on Amazon, from the first touch point to final delivery.

First a woman places an order as she rides the bus, then we’re taken to a factory, where boxes cascade in all directions. It turns out, however, that the Amazon logo on each box serves another purpose – as a mouth, a voice for each box to sing in unison with the others.

As the boxes move through the factory and into various modes of transportation, they sing happily, “Give a Little Bit,” a song about giving a little bit of love to others.

This holiday, be sure to send some love to friends and family, whether it’s in an Amazon box or not.

Walmart – “Get treated like a rockstar this Christmas”

Aside from the peculiarly specific Christmas attire worn by the shoppers in this ad, Walmart is showing the perks they can offer to those that still prefer in-store shopping.

Walmart has many holiday ads, where they show all the ways they can make the holiday easier – from free next day pickup, to nailing Christmas dinner for the family, and so on.

In this ad, Walmart shows their “Holiday Helpers” guiding customers to the fastest possible checkout. These kitty-cat, dabbing-Santa sweater-wearing customers will be in and out in no time, and onto the ugly sweater party that they are likely on the way to.

All in all, don’t make the holiday a hassle… While shopping can be a bit time-consuming, it’s simply important to give. Give gifts, but also give your time, attention, and love to those that matter most.

Amazon and Walmart are changing the script, and making that easier for all of us.

Be sure to look out for our finale, where we’ll conclude with a gift that continues to give, all year long.

In the meantime, feel free to catch up on the rest of our series in preparation for our final post!
